ANA/VINCI Airports present in Seatrade Cruise Med 2018 at Lisbon
Seatrade Cruise Med, one of the most relevant cruise industry events will run until tomorrow, 20, September, at Lisbon International Fair and ANA will be associated with the event.
Seatrade Cruise Med is the main B2B cruise industry event for the Mediterranean and adjacent seas region, with an intense agenda jam-packed with several conferences, a trade fair/exhibition and networking events, such as the Seatrade Cruise Awards.
The 2018 edition of the event will register a number of attendees in excess of 2.500, originating from more than 65 countries, including 160 exhibitors from the cruise industry such as ports, tourism entities, cruise associations, tourist operators, travel agencies and service suppliers.
An information note issued by the Portuguese Ministry of the Sea highlights the fact that “It is hoped that this international fair will have a multiplier effect in cruise ship activity in the ports of Lisbon and Oporto, following the example of the port of Marseille that had a 63% increase in passengers after organizing this same event in 2012. The more so since the Portuguese capital is nowadays one of the better equipped cities in terms of cruise ship operation support facilities”.
The association of ANA/VINCI Airports to the event calls on the importance of the geographical closeness of the 2 infrastructures (port and airport) while shining a light on the facilities and advantages available to those passengers flying to Lisbon in order to embark on a cruise, such as multiple direct air connections and security check “fast track” as well as Self Check-in facilities available in the Cruise Ship Terminal.
