Norwegian Air Shuttle at Malmö Airport

The low cost airline announced on the 14^th of October that they are starting air traffic between Malmö Airport and Stockholm Arlanda Airport on the 2^nd of December. The route will be starting up with three daily frequencies during the weekdays and up to two frequencies per day of the weekend. According to the airline, they are planning on adding up to three daily frequencies to/from Malmö Airport during the first half year at the airport.

During the press conference in Malmö Daniel Skjeldam, commercial director at Norwegian, said:

-In order to be a competitive participant on the market and be a good alternative for both business and leisure travelers it is important to offer an extensive route network.

Peter Weinhandl, airport director Malmö Airport, says that it is exciting that such an expansive airline chooses to fly out of Malmö Airport. He also believe that the Norwegian route between Stockholm Arlanda and Malmö Airport will be of use for all passengers in the catchment area since they will get another handful of daily domestic departures.

The first flight will be flown on the 2^nd of December.
