1 000 000 Wizz Air Passengers

Since the start at Malmö Airport in 2004, Wizz Air has flown over 1 000 000 passengers in and out of our airport!!

This milestone has been celebrated at Malmö Airport for about two weeks and on July 1^st the millionth passenger arrived in Malmö from Budapest and was met up with flowers, chocolates and a voucher for two return tickets to any of the Wizz Air destinations from Malmö Airport – Belgrade, Budapest, Gdansk, Katowice or Warsaw!

Wizz Air is a strong brand in the south of Scandinavia and statistics show that Wizz Air attracts more than 50 percent of all traffic from CPH and MMX to the 5 destinations mentioned above. The airline is also outstanding with 10 percent Danes on their flights compared to only 2 percent on average on all flights from Malmö Airport. Finally, traffic statistics for Malmö Airport shows that Wizz Air is the driving force of the substantial increase in international traffic from our airport, 21% in June!
