Passenger Growth: Nuremberg Airport breaks the 4 million mark

For the first time since 2010, Albrecht Dürer Airport Nürnberg has broken the 4 million mark for passenger figures
Oliver Schafheitle, who flew to Hamburg with Eurowings on 11 December, was greeted as the 4 millionth passenger and presented with a Duty Free voucher, flowers and Christmas gingerbread, a Nuremberg speciality. “Flying from Nuremberg is simply fantastic”, said Mr Schafheitle, who works for Signal Iduna and travels regularly from the airport on business.
2017 is becoming a record year for Nuremberg Airport overall. At 20.9%, the passenger growth rate up to and including November was far higher than the German average (5.6%). There has also been strong qualitative growth: Nuremberg Airport has introduced 18 new non-stop destinations in 2017.
