New for winter: flights to Nuremberg from Copenhagen, Athens and Tel Aviv
The winter flight schedule is bringing three new nonstop connections to Nuremberg
The winter flight schedule is bringing three new nonstop connections to Nuremberg: After a brief interruption, passengers will again be able fly to Nuremberg from Tel Aviv from November. Flights from Athens are also back on the schedule. Both connections are now operated by Ryanair. After a five-year break, direct flights from Scandinavia to Nuremberg are available again. From autumn, Ryanair will operate flights from the Danish capital, Copenhagen. Other new connections are in preparation.
Passengers can look forward to a wealth of cultural highlights, including fantastic exhibitions at the Richard Wagner Museum in nearby Bayreuth (www.bayreuth-tourismus.de/en/the-richard-wagner-museum) and the Germanisches Nationalmuseum in Nuremberg (www.gnm.de/en/exhibitions/permanent-exhibitions).
From the end of November, 14 towns in Franconia (the area around Nuremberg) invite you to visit the region's typical Christmas markets. These include festive concerts and culinary specialities such as mulled wine and grilled sausages. The largest and most famous market is the Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt (www.frankentourismus.com/specials/christmas-markets).
