Blue Ocean Lifeline - NUE's support after COVID-19 shutdown
In times of unclear and stormy waters, NUE wants to throw you the lifeline!
There is no doubt that as soon as the current shutdown due to COVID-19 ends and travel limitations are reduced, challenging times still lie ahead with traffic taking up slowly. The industry can expect for loads to underperform additionally due to the current running discussion to obligate an empty middle seat.
NUE's new Blue Ocean Lifeline incentive scheme intends to be a silver lining on the horizon and to relieve your efforts to bring up air travel in Europe back to a new normal. NUE has decided to share the risk in the first start-up period after the COVID-19 shutdown by allowing incremental discounts on fixed cost components, depending on the achieved seat load:
<= 33% seat load per flight movement | 95% on landing/take-off charges and central infrastructure services |
<= 66% seat load per flight movement | 85% on landing/take-off charges and central infrastructure services |
> 66% seat load per flight movement | 65% on landing/take-off charges and central infrastructure services |
For example, one rotation with an Airbus A320 - based on the assumption of a 65% seat load - will be discounted by more than 40% compared to our list of charges. This incentive will be in effect until the end of the W20 schedule (27 March 2021).
