Nuremberg's Christmas Rendezvous: A Festive Networking Hub for Airlines and Stakeholders
Last week, with record participation, Nuremberg hosted the Christmas Rendezvous, an annual networking event for airline network planners and route developers. “All good things come in threes,” this year’s third edition event allowed industry professionals to explore the vibrant Nuremberg market and forge meaningful connections.
The event began with a visit to the adidas headquarters, where attendees engaged with their travel management team, followed by a welcoming reception hosted by the mayor and the City of Nuremberg, uniting local stakeholders, airports, and airlines. Day two featured a workshop and panel discussing seasonality in the travel industry, equipping attendees with strategies for managing demand fluctuations. Participants also enjoyed visits to the historic Nuremberg Memorium and the enchanting Christmas market, blending professional development with seasonal celebration.
Feedback highlighted the event's welcoming atmosphere that encouraged collaboration. “Our goal is to introduce airlines to the Nuremberg market, facilitating the expansion of existing routes and new connections,” stated Christian Käser, VP of Aviation Sales & Traffic Development. Local stakeholders, including hotels, the tourism board, the city, and the airport, collaborate strongly in Nuremberg and play a vital role in promoting tourism and travel opportunities in the region. This event, a joint organisational effort by local stakeholders, expresses this dynamics.
