OAK hosts air show performers for ninth consecutive year

Oakland, Calif. – September 29, 2023: San Francisco Fleet Week 2023 is scheduled from Monday, October 2, through Tuesday, October 10, 2023. Air show performers will include the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and other military and general aviation performers who will be based at Oakland International Airport (OAK). With the exception of 2020 when the event was cancelled due to COVID-19, this will be the ninth consecutive year that the performers have used OAK as their home base for the event.

“We look forward to once again hosting SF Fleet Week air show performers at Oakland International Airport,” said Craig Simon, Interim Director of Aviation at the Port of Oakland. “OAK is proud to be the home base for these outstanding performers during this popular and celebrated annual event.”

During practice sessions and the air show demonstrations throughout the event week, airport neighbors will experience an unusual level of aircraft activity and noise. To be added to the Airport’s community advisory notification list, contact the Noise Hot Line at (510) 563-6463.
