Oakland International Airport (OAK) will welcome Sun Country Airlines with a seasonal OAK-MSP route for summer travel
OAK’s fourth new airline will serve a new destination for summer 2024
Oakland, Calif. – October 17, 2023: Oakland International Airport (OAK) will welcome Sun Country Airlines with a seasonal route for summer travel. Flights will commence twice weekly on Sundays and Thursdays between OAK and the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, Minnesota (MSP) for the summer 2024 season. The service will begin on May 23, 2024, and will run through September 1, 2024. Sun Country will operate the new service on its Boeing 737 aircraft. Sun Country is a new entrant at OAK and will be the fourth new airline to announce service in the past year.
The flights will follow the schedule below:
- Depart OAK 11:59 PM – Arrive MSP 5:35 AM
- Depart MSP 8:55 PM – Arrive OAK 10:58 PM
“Oakland International Airport welcomes Sun Country Airlines.” said Craig Simon, Interim Director of Aviation at the Port of Oakland. “The new service will bring in visitors to the San Francisco Bay Area for summer holidays as well as provide a new choice for those travelling eastbound from OAK.”
