West Aussies will have new and fantastic travel option for its favourite holiday destination with the introduction of TransNusa’s direct service between Denpasar and Perth.
TransNusa - the only Premium Service Airline in Asia Pacific - will commence operating the service on the 20 March on an A320 aircraft.
Perth Airport’s Chief Commercial and Aviation Officer Kate Holsgrove said we are excited to welcome TransNusa to Perth, and it is a testament to the strength of our leisure market that the airline has chosen Perth to be its first Australian route.
“The introduction of TransNusa to Perth will provide a new option for our passengers to visit the popular holiday destination of Bali in 2025.
“TransNusa will operate the service on its Airbus A320 – which will provide more than 127,000 seats into this popular market per year.”
“With a flight time of just over 3 ½ hours, it is easy to see why we have a love affair with the holiday spot Bali and why people return on a regular basis.
“We look forward to working with the TransNusa team as they increase their capacity into Perth over the next six months and look for other opportunities within the Western Australian market.”
TransNusa Group CEO Datuk Bernard Francis said TransNusa introduced the new international route in order to provide passengers with additional travel choices.
“The Bali-Perth international route is a golden route as the highest number of tourists, almost every year, in Bali are from Perth. Hence, the demand for this route is equally significant. As such, we will be utilising our Airbus A320 that has only a mere 174 - seat configuration, which allows passengers to enjoy about 30 inches of legroom, comparable to the experience passengers would get in a full-service airline.
“Our passengers will enjoy check-in baggage of between 15kgs to 30 kgs, depending on the product purchased,” Datuk Bernard said, explaining that the baggage offering was over and above the 7kgs limit offered as a passenger’s hand carry.
“For the highest package, FLEXI-PRO, we provide more complete services such as free baggage 30kgs, free to choose seats, free food, and drinks, priority at check-in and boarding.”
Initially, TransNusa will operate three scheduled flights a week, which will be on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
From April 12, we will increase the frequency to four times a week by adding another flight on Tuesday and eventually increase the frequency to a daily flight from June 1 onwards.
Following the inaugural flight, TransNusa’s service will arrive into Perth Airport’s Terminal 1 International at 12.50pm and then depart at 1:35pm.
The TransNusa flight tickets can be purchased at transnusa.co.id or any secure online travel agent.
