Pittsburgh International Airport fourth safest

Pittsburgh International Airport was named the fourth safest U.S. airport by Travel & Leisure magazine, which studied Federal Aviation Administration data for the 35 busiest commercial airports nationwide that had the fewest and least severe runway incidents from 2006 to 2010.

The 15 airports that made the list had no life-threatening incidents.

The airport said its snow and ice removal system figured into its high ranking.
