Allegiant today announces new nonstop service to Austin, Texas and San Juan, Puerto Rico from Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT). The company also announces that it will base a second aircraft in Pittsburgh, bringing more than 30 new jobs to the airport and strengthening its commitment to the city.
“Allegiant is quickly growing the number of vacation destinations offered in Pittsburgh,” said Jude Bricker, Allegiant chief operating officer. “We are confident the community will take advantage of these opportunities to explore everything Puerto Rico and Austin have to offer.”
Nonstop service from Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) to:
Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) – Begins Dec. 16, 2016

The new year-round flights to Austin will operate twice a week and the new seasonal flights to Puerto Rico will operate once a week until April 22, 2017. Including these new routes, Allegiant will offer nonstop flights to nine destinations from Pittsburgh.
"The addition of two more nonstop routes and a second Pittsburgh-based plane shows Allegiant's commitment to our growing region and growing airport," Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald said. "The expanding crew base means more jobs for our region and the routes mean more options for our travelers."
"San Juan and Austin are key destinations for thousands of people in Pittsburgh. We're excited to be able to offer these markets nonstop through Allegiant - bringing our total number of nonstop markets to 63," Pittsburgh International Airport CEO Christina Cassotis said. "Allegiant has been a great partner and we look forward to continuing to grow with the airline as it expands its Pittsburgh network."
