Spirit Airlines Brings More Black and Yellow to Pittsburgh

New nonstop service from Pittsburgh to seven destinations begins in summer of 2017

Spirit is proud to announce Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) will become the 61st city to join its expanding network, with new nonstop service to seven popular destinations, including Dallas/Fort Worth, Myrtle Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Las Vegas, Houston and Los Angeles. So check out our crazy low fares and see how Spirit can save you major cash on the ultimate getaway just in time for summer.

"Pittsburgh is an excellent place to expand our growing network," said Mark Kopczak, Vice President of Network Planning for Spirit Airlines. "Spirit's super low Bare Fares™ with Frill Control™ allow customers to choose only those extras they want to pay for and gives them the most control over their travel budget.  This new service complements Spirit's existing service from Latrobe, and will help us provide even more ultra-low fare options from western Pennsylvania."

"We are thrilled that Spirit has joined the growing list of airlines at Pittsburgh International Airport offering nonstop service," Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald said. "We're proud that the airport has seen an 80 percent increase in nonstop destinations in the past two years. Its growth matches the renaissance of our region and we're delighted to have Spirit join us in those gains."

"Spirit's announcement to join the momentum at Pittsburgh International Airport with seven markets is fantastic news and continues our push to give our customers more air service options," Allegheny County Airport Authority CEO Christina Cassotis said. "We thank them for their commitment and we look forward to working with them as partners."
