Millionth passenger handled in 2023!

The millionth passenger, who was Iwona Kurpierwska arrived on a Ryanair flight from Manchester. She was traveling with her husband Robert and son Leon.
- Welcoming the millionth passenger is a long-awaited moment in the history of our Airport. This is an unprecedented event in fact, we have been working to achieve this result for several years. We have greatly expanded our network. In recent years, new destinations have appeared, both in the regular and charter segments. We focused on holiday connections, which have recently become very popular. And I must admit that the strategy we have chosen has brought very good results - said Adam Hamryszczak, president of the Rzeszów-Jasionka airport.
At the peak of the summer season last year, the Airport offered a record number of connections and it was possible to take advantage of the offer of 24 destinations to 13 countries. There were new routes, such as Rome (operated by Wizz Air), Milan (operated by LOT), and charters to Podgorica, Kefalonia, and Marsa Alam. The biggest number of passengers were handled in 2023 by Ryanair, LOT Polish Airlines, and charter carriers.
