easyJet launches new route to Lanzarote from London Southend Airport

easyJet, the UK’s largest airline, has today (2 July 2015) announced it will operate a new route to Lazarote in the Canary Islands from London Southend Airport.

Flights from London Southend to Lanzarote will operate twice weekly throughout this winter, starting 6 November 2015. Tickets are on sale from today from £33.49 per person one-way.*

easyJet is expected to fly 600 passengers a week to and from Lanzarote which is famed for its volcanic landscape, expansive beaches and guaranteed sunshine, make it a perfect choice for some last minute winter sun.

The announcement comes just a week after easyJet said it would also be starting new flights to Lyon this winter. 

Neil Slaven, UK Commercial Manager at easyJet, said “Having just added Lyon to the range of destinations offered from London Southend, we’re delighted to be adding another new route to Lanzarote. With the addition of new affordable routes, we are catering for the demand from passengers in the region who wish to fly from the airport.
