Sheremetyevo-2015: level of comfort development, barrier-free environment improvement, new services and online services, green airport.

Sheremetyevo International airport in 2015 has worked intensively on the growth of comfort for passengers of all categories, successfully improved service infrastructure and capabilities, applied ideas and proposals of participants of the program “Secret passenger” and “SVO idea”, and also has launched several popular online services.

1. New premium services — the opening of two Business Lounges.

In “clear” zone of terminal E two new business lounges have been opened: Russia’s first business lounge MasterCard for MasterCard World Elite and World MasterCard Black Edition holders and their satellites, business lounge “Space” — for customers of KLM, Air France, Air Baltic, Royal Air Maroc, Estonian Air, Hainan Airlines, LOT — Polish Airlines, Air Moldova and Air Malta and card holders of Priority Pass, Citigold, Diners Club, Dragon Pass. Both lounges are unique in their interior design and atmosphere, the service is managed round the clock. There are 10 business lounges and 4 VIP lounges at the airport now.

2. The program “Secret passenger” and “SVO idea” in operation.

In 2015 in program “Secret passenger” 137 participants has been registered, including 63 passengers with disabilities. The number of questionnaires has increased in comparison with 2014 in 1.5 times and exceeded 604 PCs. The programme allows you to receive instant reaction of passengers of the level of comfort at the airport, and usability of new services, see weak points and fix them in accordance with high standards of service.

3. Improvement of barrier-free environment for passengers with disabilities.

In terminal F tactile indicators for the blind have been places, on the stand of baggage search and registration desks induction loops of a new generation for deaf and hearing-impaired passengers have been installed, tactile stickers in Braille have been added to touchscreens for individuals with visual impairments, terminal D toilet rooms have been equipped with an emergency call. Passengers with disabilities can now borrow mechanical chairs. In special lounges “Saturn” and “Sirius” Xbox games appeared.

The total number of served individuals with disabilities in 2015 is 78 741 people, what is 22% more than in 2014. Thus the overall satisfaction among passengers with disabilities has grown during the year from 4.96 to 4.98 points.

4. The opening of the first in Russian airports virtual library “SVO library”.

From July 2015 for all passengers digital library has worked. The partners of the project are Russian book Union, the publishing group “Exmo AST” and an online store of e-books LitRes. Books from the collections of foreign and Russian classics, modern literature participating in the project are free for downloading and online reading thanks to special agreements with publishers and authors.

5. The space of the “clear” area in domestic airlines in terminal D has been increased.

The total area of “clear” area of departure of internal areas increased almost two times with 4 thousand 743 sq. m to 8 thousand 700 sqm. The extension of the area has allowed domestic airlines to provide passenger growth at the Federal directions, while maintaining the highest quality of service.

6. Eco-port

In the frameworks of the project of greening the airport flowerbeds, lawns, ornamental trees outside the terminals D and E and VIP-halls, in galleries and waiting areas have been appeared. Bright composition has become the inscription “I love SVO” made from the moss in the gallery between terminals D and E. Green area harmonizes the space around the airport, the atmosphere inside the terminals, making the airport even more enjoyable.

The creation of “green oases” contributes to the development of the airport as a modern system, which combines technological innovation and natural environment.

In the waiting halls 16 drinking fountains with clean water for passengers have become available.

7. Traveling with children

Recreational areas for transit passengers with children are equipped with multimedia players. Gate areas in terminals D, E are equipped with playgrounds. Passengers with small children are provided with free strollers.

8. New online services: the cheapest tickets, booking cars and hotels worldwide

The site visitors of the airport can now compare the cost of tickets in 200 online air ticket offices and airlines themselves and plan their route, choosing the most attractive offers. The service is implemented jointly with the touristic portal Aviasales. In addition, the service of booking cars anywhere in the world at competitive prices through the world’s largest service Rentalcars.com is available for the visitors of the airport website. The most affordable price is due to the fact that Rentalcars.com enters into direct contracts with each individual supplier at the most competitive prices.

9. The increase of the range of commercial services

In 2015, Sheremetyevo has become the first among Russian airports who began to provide services of baggage delivery and hand Luggage in Moscow, the Moscow region, in 600 km from MKAD and to the other airports in Moscow. The partner of Sheremetyevo is transport company ATS.

The establishing of favorable environment, comfortable atmosphere and quality service are the key drivers of growth of passenger traffic and attractiveness for new aviation and commercial partners.

According to preliminary forecast, in 2015 the airport will serve 31 million 600 thousand passengers, that corresponds to the level of the last year. Sheremetyevo combines high volumes and seasonal peaks of traffic with high quality of passenger service, creating an atmosphere of goodwill for all categories of passengers and customers.

Sheremetyevo International Airport is the best airport in Europe in service quality in 2012 and 2013 and the second in the continent by the results of 2014 according to the rating of ASQ (Airport Service Quality) and ACI(Airports Council International).

Sheremetyevo is the largest Russian Airport that operates regular international and domestic flights. The number of destinations of Sheremetyevo airport includes more than 200 directions.

At the end of 2014 the volume of passenger traffic was 31million 568 thousands of passengers and it’s 7,9% more than in 2013.
