Sheremetyevo and Mastercard business lounge are the winners of Business Traveller Awards
Sheremetyevo airport business lounges served more than 2 million people within 10 months of 2017
Sheremetyevo International Airport won two awards of the prestigious Business Traveller Russia and CIS Awards in the field of international business tourism second year in a row. The award has been inducted by Russian edition of the Business Traveller magazine.
Sheremetyevo airport won “Best airport of Russia and the CIS” nominee, and Mastercard business lounge, designed specifically for premium Mastercard cards holders, won “Best business lounge of Russia and the CIS” nominee following the results of an open online voting. The awarding ceremony was held on November 15, 2017.
The publisher of the Russian version of the Business Traveler magazine Margarita Gorelikova said: “Business Traveler Awards is held not only to determine the best companies in the field of business tourism. There is also a more important mission — to set certain quality standards in the Russian business tourism. What could be more important for the tourist business than knowing the needs of corporate and private travellers? The prestigious international rankings recognize Sheremetyevo airport as the leader in the passenger service quality, the leader of the growth rate of passenger traffic and the leader of on-time performance among the largest European airports. This result was achieved due to the infrastructure development, effective service quality management system, and introduction of innovative technologies and services. Sheremetyevo was the first among Russian airports to receive the China Friendly certificate, open the loyalty program of SVO Club, and launch information channels for supporting passengers in popular instant messengers in 2017.
Sheremetyevo airport pays special attention to the development of VIP and business services. Passenger traffic has reached 2 million 20 thousand people in business lounges since the beginning of the year, which is 20% more than the same period last year. Sheremetyevo has 4 VIP and 11 business lounges. All of them meet the requirements of the most demanding passengers of domestic and international flights. “Kosmos” business lounge offers rest in individual cabins, “Zvezdniy” business lounge surprises with a large aquarium with exotic fish, whereas “Matryoshka” business lounge allows passengers to get immersed in the Slavic culture with the help of thematic interior and Russian cuisine delicacies. Sheremetyevo airport launched a new service to provide electronic media with a choice of 200 media in more than 20 languages in all business lounges in 2017.
Mastercard business lounge was opened in 2015. Its space is divided into functional areas: restaurant, winter garden, rest zones, library and shower room. Visitors can enjoy a special menu designed by Ginza Project exclusively for Mastercard business lounge. The interior design will surprise you with the use of noble natural materials — rosewood, gray marble, as well as fresh flowers, grass and moss, and a comfortable color range for visual perception.
