Malaysia Airports Appoints Dato’ Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh As Group Chief Executive Officer

SEPANG – The Board of Directors of Malaysia Airports is pleased to announce the appointment of Dato’ Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh as its new Group Chief Executive Office (CEO) effective from 2 March 2020.

Dato’ Mohd Shukrie first joined Malaysia Airports in May 2019 as the Chief Operating Officer. Subsequent to this, he was appointed as the Acting Group CEO in January 2020.

Prior to joining Malaysia Airports, he had held various leadership roles in several companies in Malaysia. Among them were as Principal Controller, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Executive Officer in various entities within the DRB-HICOM Group including being entrusted as the Chief Executive Officer of KL Airport Services Sdn. Bhd., the aircraft ground handling, cargo, and logistics arm of DRB-HICOM Group. He was also the Group CEO of Konsortium Logistik Berhad and Pos Malaysia Berhad. Apart from that he was also appointed as AirAsia’s Redbox Logistics Chief Executive Officer and later on as the Chief Operating Officer for AirAsia Malaysia.

Dato’ Mohd Shukrie is a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and holds a Degree in Business Studies from the University of North London. Throughout his career, he has amassed a diverse experience which also includes consumer and corporate banking, corporate finance and advisory, mergers and acquisitions, financial services, risk management, human resources, and procurement.

The Board is confident that Dato’ Mohd Shukrie’s wide ranging experience will be of immense contribution to Malaysia Airports and that his leadership will propel the Group further to become a global airport company.
