About The Airport

Plovdiv Airport is located 12 km southeast of Plovdiv, the oldest living city in Europe - even older than Rome and Athens. It is also the second largest and most important city in Bulgaria. Strategically positioned in the heart of the country, Plovdiv Airport's catchment area covers over 4 million people, including the capital city Sofia, out of Bulgaria's total population of 7.3 million.

Ryanair has been operating year-round flights from London Stansted since 2010, along with winter-seasonal services from Manchester and Birmingham. Additionally, Wizz Air offers scheduled flights from London Luton. Plovdiv Airport also serves numerous charter flights, particularly during the winter season, catering to Bulgaria’s three largest ski resorts – Pamporovo, Bansko, and Borovets.
