Portugal was the first European country to receive the "Safe Travels" stamp, which recognises a commitment to safety.
This distinction, assigned by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), aims to certify destinations that comply with hygiene and safety rules and aims to give confidence to those who travel to Portugal.
Portugal was a pioneer in launching the Clean&Safe stamp. This WTTC stamp rewards the effort that was made by everyone. The best destination in the world is also understood as the safest in the world.
The WTTC has also published guidelines for other sectors, such as catering, street shopping, aviation, airports, congress centers, meetings and events.
The seal can be obtained through the World Travel & Tourism Council website.
