In July, Nassau Airport Development Company (NAD) welcomed Kevin M. Burke, President and Chief Executive Officer of Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) to Nassau. The pivotal leadership meeting focused on ACI and NAD’s shared commitment to excellence and innovation in the aviation industry.

During his visit, Burke emphasized ACI’s critical role in facilitating knowledge exchange among airports and strengthening industry standards globally.

NAD's President & CEO, Vernice Walkine believes that the company’s commitment to improving the guest experience at Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) starts with training.

"As an airport community, we are focused on maintaining the highest standards in operations and guest experience," she said. "Proper training is vital to our success in an evolving industry. ACI provides extensive opportunities for cross-training and professional growth. This aligns perfectly with NAD’s mission and, by extension, Vantage Group's mission of transforming the way people move through our facilities and redefining their expectations of travel."

Walkine continued: “Through ACI’s comprehensive programs, our staff will continue to have access to a wealth of knowledge and training opportunities, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle the complexities of modern airport management.”

ACI is the global source for airport cross-training with branches in North America, Asia, Latin America & The Caribbean, Africa, and Europe. The collaboration between NAD and ACI ensures that LPIA remains competitive, and its operations improve through training and professional development.
