Boots unveils plans for new store in Leeds Bradford Airport
The Boots UK team are busy putting the finishing touches to a brand new store due to open at Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) later this month.
Designed to meet all of the health and beauty needs for those travelling locally or to one of the many destinations that LBA offers, the new store will open in the Airside Departure lounge on 22 February 2017, and will mean customers will be able to get all of their last minute supplies straight from the airport.
Boots UK is the first new national brand to be introduced at LBA for several years, and this exciting new addition to the retail offer forms part of the airport’s overall terminal improvements taking place throughout the winter season in preparation for the busy summer. This includes new glass frontage and increased space landside – due to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
The new store will create roles for around 12 new employees in the area, and will offer 100m2 of health and beauty space with:
- An extensive food and drink range available as part of the Boots Meal Deal
- Healthcare
- Suncare
- 3 for 2 on No7 skincare
- Essential toiletries and miniatures
Customers will also be able to access to the entire Boots product range, including luxury brands, through the Boots Order and Collect Service*, which can be particularly handy for those travelling with limited luggage space to stock up on nappies, premium beauty, gifts, healthcare items and other essentials.
Darren Fussey, new Store Manager at Leeds Bradford Airport, Boots UK said:
“With our new and modern store, we really feel that we can make a difference to passengers travelling through Leeds Bradford Airport; not only from a healthcare and beauty perspective, but also by offering convenience for our customers like never before.
“We want to make sure our customers are totally prepared and protected, so travel healthcare, boots.com order and collect and the sun shop where customers can stock up on Boots Soltan will be incredibly important to us at the new store.”
The store will offer daily opening hours in line with the first and last flights from the airport, to ensure that all customer have access to the care, advice and great offers.
Richard Aldridge, Commercial Manager at Leeds Bradford Airport, said:
“As one of the fastest growing regional airports in the UK, it’s imperative we offer a range of retail outlets for our passengers. In response to feedback from our customers, we are proud and pleased to see Boots opening their doors at LBA, introducing a new national brand. The new airside store will enable all our passengers to enjoy shopping or pick up last minute items before they fly away, either on leisure or business.”
