New Record for Cyprus airports
A total of 6.6 million passengers traveled through Cyprus' airports from January to July this year while passenger traffic in August is expected to surpass 1.5 million people.
In June 2023, a total of 1.3 million passengers (arrivals and departures) passed through Larnaka and Pafos airports, recording a 105% increase compared to the same period in 2022. Specifically, over 895,000 passengers used Larnaka Airport, while more than 404,000 traveled through Pafos Airport.
Around 1.5 million passengers in July traveled through both airports, marking a 1% rise compared to July 2022.
August, traditionally the busiest month for arrivals and departures, is expected to see over 1.5 million passengers, maintaining similar levels to August 2022.
In terms of connectivity, Cyprus is being served by 55 airlines this August, operating 156 routes to 38 countries.
