easyJet has launched flights on its brand new route from Newcastle Airport to Malaga in Spain.
The first flight took off on Monday, 31st March and will operate twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays, perfect for those looking to book a long weekend on Spain’s sunny coast.
Malaga has long been a popular beach resort, thanks to its 16 brilliant beaches and lively nightlife, but is reinventing itself, with new museums and art galleries to become a top cultural hub too,
Flights are available to book now at easyJet.com with fares starting from £22.99*.
Tour operator easyJet holidays also has city break packages available to the popular Spanish destination, with travel dates all the way up to October 2026. All packages to Malaga include flights and hotel, covered by its Ultimate Flexibility – offering freedom to change a booking, a refund guarantee, and best price guarantee.
The new Spanish service comes after easyJet relaunched two new routes from Newcastle to Amsterdam and Alicante earlier this year, offering North East customers with even more choice and great value fares to some of Europe’s most popular leisure and business destinations.
Leon McQuaid, Director of Aviation Development at Newcastle Airport, said: “We are delighted that easyJet is continuing to invest at Newcastle Airport with the launch of their new service to Malaga.
“Malaga is the gateway to the Andalusia region and the popular Costa del Sol, a firm favourite among North East travellers offering the perfect mix of sunshine, stunning beaches and vibrant culture.
“This new service not only provides our passengers with more choice but also enhances easyJet’s network from Newcastle Airport to popular destinations, including Amsterdam, Alicante, Belfast, Bristol, Geneva, Majorca and Paris.”
Ali Gayward, easyJet's UK Country Manager, commented: “A new service from Newcastle is always great news so we are sure our flights to Malaga, with more package holidays and even more things to do in this growing destination, will go down a treat on Tyneside and among our Northeast customers.
“easyJet is always looking to add more great value connectivity for our customers in the North of England and provide even more choice, whether they are booking their next beach or city break or travelling for business. We look forward to welcoming more customers onboard from Newcastle this summer.”
