CHARLEROI-TIMISOARA, WE HAVE LIFT-OFF!
On Sunday 2 November, the first flight to Timisoara took off from Brussels South Charleroi Airport at 20.30.
This is the eighth destination for Wizzair from BSCA. With two flights a week, the Romanian city nicknamed “Little Vienna” is the third city in Romania you can fly to from Charleroi, after Bucharest-Otopeni and Cluj-Napoca.
Since they arrived at Brussels South Charleroi Airport in 2004, the Hungarian airline has grown and opened a number of new routes to Eastern Europe. BSCA’s CEO, Jean-Jacques Cloquet, is keen to point out this growth and what it has brought to Charleroi: “Wizzair has been here for ten years now. The airline started at Charleroi with routes to Budapest and Warsaw. They now fly to eight destinations from Charleroi to Romania, Hungary, Slovenia, Macedonia, Bulgaria and Poland. Thanks to them our Eastern European destinations have grown, to the great delight of our passengers.”
Alongside the other destinations available from Brussels South Charleroi Airport (Bucharest, Cluj, Budapest, Ljubljana, Skopje, Sofia, Warsaw), you can fly to Timisoara on Wednesdays and Sundays, taking off at 20.30 and landing at 23.45, local time. Tickets are available on the airline’s website, http://www.wizzair.com and prices start at €24.99.
