NECKERMANN NIGHT AT BSCA: FLIGHTS TO IZMIR AND ANTALYA FROM CHARLEROI

More than 150 guests were present, including representatives from the tour operator, BSCA’s management and more than a hundred Neckermann travel agents. Everybody came together to celebrate the relationship between these different players in the tourism industry. The Turkish hotel chain, Paloma Hotels, was also honoured with the Paloma Awards, in a ceremony designed to recognise the best travel agents.

The evening event provided the perfect opportunity to introduce those present to the airport, its wonderful atmosphere and the excellent services offered to passengers. By walking in the footsteps of these passengers, from the check-in desks to the boarding gates, guests were able to explore the terminal from which they send their customers to jet off into the sunshine… Of Turkey! For the second year running, the tour operator Neckermann will be offering flights to Antalya, and has added flights to Izmir from BSCA. A number of speeches were given throughout the evening, including one by Jan Dekeyser, Chief Commercial Officer of Neckermann and Jean-Jacques Cloquet, CEO of BSCA.

Jean-Jacques Cloquet said that he was proud to be able to welcome all of these people to the airport and give them a night to remember: “It’s important to work hard, but we also need to take the time to enjoy ourselves! This evening has helped different people in the industry to meet and take the time to share their ideas and their experiences, but most importantly, to see what facilities and services BSCA has to offer its passengers. What’s more, this event has helped us celebrate the partnership that was established with the tour operator in 2014; a relationship that will continue this year with Neckermann’s announcement. All of the airport’s staff and I are already thrilled to be able to offer our passengers flights to Antalya, but also to Izmir. Another relaxing, dream destination from an airport where travelling makes perfect sense.”

Jan Dekeyser from Neckermann added: “We have every reason to celebrate tonight. After the success of our flights to Antalya last year, this summer we are extending the opportunities to travel to Turkey from Charleroi. There will be three flights a week to Antalya and two to Izmir. Neckermann is the only operator to offer these destinations from Charleroi. Given all of its advantages, Brussels South Charleroi Airport is very important to us. So we hope to be able to add even more destinations in the future.”

Caterer, DJ and entertainers were brought in to make sure everybody had a wonderful evening, both in terms of food and on the dance floor, all in a friendly, family environment.
