WHEN MINIONS CAME TO CHARLEROI FOR THE AUTUMN HOLIDAYS
To get your 2015 autumn holidays off to a good start, Brussels South Charleroi Airport wanted to give young and old alike a bit of a treat. On Monday 2 November, a rather unusual passenger was at the airport terminal between 11am and 3pm. In fact, there was a Minion wandering around Brussels South Charleroi Airport, who didn’t need to be asked twice to spend some time with other passengers and make the most of the opportunity to capture the moment with children and adults, both departing and arriving, as well as members of airport staff. And of course he didn’t come empty-handed; he was laden with chocolate to share with the children, to their great delight.
Going on holiday often involves a fair amount of stress. When the airport is busy, as it is at the moment, we recommend arriving between two and three hours before the estimated take-off time. In order to avoid any nasty surprises on the day of your departure, staff at Brussels South Charleroi Airport recommend that passengers read their airline’s terms and conditions carefully in advance.
This year, for the holidays, no fewer than 177,500 passengers are expected to come through the airport between 31 October and 8 November 2015. The number of passengers expected each day is around 20,000. Jean-Jacques Cloquet, Brussels South Charleroi Airport’s CEO, confirms that the teams are ready for the holidays: “All of our teams are ready, willing and able to offer passengers a speedy, efficient service at all times. We do everything we can to provide optimum conditions for every individual and guarantee the punctuality of their flight. Everything is put in place to meet passengers’ expectations and make sure their journey starts off on the right foot.”
