Wizz Air continues to develop its European network: The airline is launching a new route to Craiova from Brussels-Charleroi
Charleroi, 8 August 2018 – As of 15 December 2018, the airline Wizz Air will be running a new line to Craiova (Romania) from Brussels-Charleroi. 184km west of Bucharest, Craiova is nestled between the Southern Carpathians and the Danube. The city plays an important part in Romania’s life, enjoying the status of the country’s cultural, industrial and commercial hub.
Tickets for flights to Craiova are available and can be booked online at http://www.wizzair.com, from €14.99. Belgians and residents of neighbouring countries will be able to fly between Brussels-Charleroi and Craiova from Saturday 15 December 2018.
Wizz Air started operating at Brussels-Charleroi in 2004. After 14 successful years at the airport, the airline has already announced three new routes from BSCA this year (Sibiu and Iasi – Romania, and Chișinău – Moldova). This makes Craiova the fourth new destination run by Wizz Air in 2018. The airline now operates twelve routes, with a total of seven countries, available from Brussels–Charleroi (Bulgaria, Hungary, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovenia and Moldova).
Jean-Jacques CLOQUET, CEO of Brussels South Charleroi Airport, explains: “We are delighted with the announcement of this fourth new route operated by Wizz Air from our airport. The airline’s growth at Brussels South Charleroi Airport is quite impressive. Wizz Air is indeed a key player for the airport and its development is a real boon for us. We can only thank Wizz Air for the confidence they place in us.”
