About The Airport

King Fahd International Airport in Dammam (DMM) began operations in November 1999. Covering a vast area of 776 square kilometers, it's seven times bigger than Manchester.

On 1 July 2017 King Fahad international airport (DMM) has been corporatized and the management of the airport has been transferred under a new established company under the name of “Dammam Airports Company” based in Dammam, as a private company owned by the Government, as wholly owned by the MATARAT Holding Company.

The launch represents Dammam Airports part of the vision 2030 for the advancement of airport industry. Al Ahsa International Airport (HOF) and Hafr AlBatin in Qaisouma Airport (AQI) were corporatized and transformed into Dammam airports company in 2021.
