Confirmed 2 World Travel Awards for the Algarve
Of the 9 nominations received in August two hotel units have received world accolade
Tthe Conrad Algarve in prestigious Quinta do Lago has once again received the award for Worlds' Leading Luxury Leisure Resort whilst Vila Joya has received the award for Worlds' Leading Fine Dining Hotel Restaurant.
The World Travel Awards were awarded this Sunday evening at a gala held in Anguilla in the Caribbean.
For Portugal, there was just another reward: the Parques de Sintra – Monte da Lua, Portugal won for the second consecutive year in the category of best conservation company.
The remaining 7 nominations went to:
Conrad Algarve - nominated for World Leading Luxury Resort
Vila Joya - nominated for World Leading Boutique Hotel,
Cascade Wellness & Lifestyle - nominated for World Leading Sports Academy,
Sheraton Pine Cliffs Residence - nominated for World Leading Hotel Residences
Martinhal Beach Resort & Hotel – nominated for World Leading Villa Resorts
Vila Vita Parc – nominated for Worlds Most Romantic Resort
The Algarve – nominated for World Leading Beach Destination
In all, 169 awards were presented in this edition of the World Travel Awards.
The World Travel Awards have been awarded for 21 consecutive years and recorded about 800,000 votes of more than 170 countries. Voting is open to everyone online although votes registered by tourism professionals count double.
