Algarve elected 'Trusted Brand' in 2016.

The Algarve has just been elected a 'Trusted Brand' of Portuguese in the category of Tourism Regions by the readers of Reader's Digest, the most widely read magazine in the world, with 100 million readers. The Algarve occupies the top spot in this category, first introduced 16 years in publication awards, standing out among all national tourist regions.
The quality, cost / benefit and the perception of the customer's needs are, according to this study, the attributes that contributed to the election of the Algarve as Portuguese trusted brand with significant voting rates.
This is the 16th edition of the study which annually seeks to identify the brands that most consumers trust and evaluate the levels of confidence in products and services in 65 categories, allowing companies to assess the customer loyalty index.
In Portugal, the evaluation was carried out through questionnaires to 13,200 subscribers of Reader's Digest magazine. The Algarve was positioned at the top level of national marks awarded in the tourism section and leisure, along with other brands such as Abreu, in the category of Travel Agencies and the Pestana Group in the new category of Hotels Chains.
"The Algarve is assumed today as the main tourist area of the country, concentrating more than a third of all overnight stays made in Portugal and this appointment comes only prove it, 'says Desiderio Silva, president of Tourism of the Algarve, adding that "trust is an essential value in the relationship of consumers with a tourist destination and it also contribute other attributes of the Algarve such as climate, security, diverse supply, good accessibility and hospitality."
