Portugal, the spirit of the South
1st May
Portugal is having its second touristic revolution. In 2015, 1.5 million French tourists visited the country. The south region is the main destination, especially Lisbon, Algarve and Alentejo. Algarve attracts visitors due to its 200km of coastline with more than 100 beaches, as well as the beautiful Serra de Monchique and charming villages like Silves and Loulé. Alentejo is a rural area with beautiful plains and picturesque houses, which is attracting the attention of tour operators due to an increase in demand from French tourists.
