Lublin Airport to support the High Flying Scholarship Fund
Lublin Airport has joined an initiative of supporting the Modrzew Association for Social Integration. The airport "lent" them a designated parking space in the airport parking lot - the proceeds from the parking tickets will be transferred to the special fund: the High Flying Scholarship Fund. The fund will offer financial support to talented young people from the Świdnik region.
The High Flying Parking Space awaits for all members of the High Flying Club who, on their way out of Świdnik, would like to leave their vehicle in the long-term parking lot in from of the airport entrance. Parking the vehicle in this place means supporting the High Flying Scholarship Fund; it is worth noting that the parking fare is reduced by 50%. Lublin Airport has become the main partner of the High Flying Scholarships and has been named the High Flying Company.
"We are pleased to be able to be part of this initiative. Any activities related to social responsibility are among out priorities, and we are more than happy that we can help the needy. We are gradually implementing a strategy of social responsibility across the company. Inside the terminal, we already put a box to collect money for the Little Prince Hospice for Children in Lublin," says Piotr Jankowski, Lublin Airport spokesman.
The High Flying Scholarship Fund is a way to provide financial assistance to talented youth people from the Świdnik region. The fund is managed by the Modrzew Association for Social Integration. The idea behind the fund is to promote the most hard-working and gifted students of junior high schools, high schools and universities from the Świdnik area.
The scholarship can be applied for by students who excel in education, sports or pro-community activities. Yet, this is not the only criterion. A potential scholarship winner can be a student of an impoverished family whose parents' financial status does not allow his or her education or skill development. The money from the scholarship can be used in a variety of ways, e.g. to buy a musical instrument, pay for a foreign language course or even buy new shoes and warm clothing for the winter season to help them reach school without running the risk of illness.
The concluded agreement is valid for one year.
