Lublin Airport to enter into cooperation with the Air Force Museum in Dęblin
On 30 July, Lublin Airport signed a cooperation agreement with the Air Force Museum in Dęblin. The terminal became the venue for an exhibition on one of the most famous Polish fighter squads of World War II - the so called Skalski's Circus.
The cooperation will involve the promotion and transfer of knowledge about the history of Polish aviation, the organization of exhibitions and commemorating the key figures, dates and events related to air force and aviation. The agreement was signed by the Director of the Air Force Museum in Dęblin, retired Air Force Gen. Ryszard Hać, and the Vice-President of Lublin Airport, Dariusz Krzowski.
The exhibition called Skalski's Circus consists of 12 panels featuring the stories and photos of the legendary Polish airmen's team named after their commander Stanisław Skalski. This Polish air force unit took part in the military campaigns in North Africa in 1943. Stanisław Skalski graduated from the Air Force Cadet School in Dęblin. He made his name during the Battle of Britain as a fighter ace. The exhibition was organized to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the operations of the Polish Fighter Squad in Africa.
