Lublin gains everyday connection to the Munich Airport HUB!
As of 23rd January 2017 service on route Lublin-Munich-Lublin will be introduced to sale system. Flights will be operated by BMI Regional, a codeshare partner with Lufthansa. With this connection passengers can travel from Lublin to more than 100 places in Europe, North America and Asia.
Everyday connection will be operated from 27th March 2017 on Embraer ERJ 145, which can take on board 49 passengers. The flight schedule is well adjusted for transferring at Munich Airport not only on the morning but also on the afternoon wave.

Krzysztof Wójtowicz, President of the Board said: “This is very important day not only for Lublin Airport, but mostly for Lublin and its region. After just several months gap we relaunching connection to the Star Alliance Hub, giving the opportunity to reach Lublin everyday from almost each place in Europe and many places in the world. At the very beginning our intention was to supplement Lufthansa service to Frankfurt which later and along with our partners from BMI Regional we have converted the idea to a new, better, product.“
Establishing this connection we have worked very closely with representatives of the regional business cluster who also declared a high volume of business trips from Lublin Airport. Everyday flights to Munich and convenient opportunity for transfer is a great offer also for those passengers who up till now were using traditional airlines offered from Warsaw Airport.

The official opening of Lublin Airport took place on 17th December 2012. In 2016, Lublin airport served 377,600 passengers, compared to previous year constitutes a 42 % growth. Currently Lublin Airport has 4 carriers who offer flights to 12 destinations. In 2017, Lublin Airport plan to serve approximately 400,000 passengers. Lublin Airport was recognized with the award of Certificate of Aerodrome for Public Use, is also equipped with navigation aids allowing to land with reduced visibility ILS CAT II.
