NEW SUMMER SEASON 2024
RIMINI WILL BE CONNECTED TO 15 DESTINATIONS IN 12 DIFFERENT COUNTRIES THANKS TO THE AIRPORT'S 8 PARTNER AIRLINES
Rimini, 30th March 2023 - AIRiminum 2014 S.p.A., the management company of Rimini and San Marino International Airport, announces the flight schedule for Summer ‘24, which starts on Sunday 31 March and offers a total of 15 routes, divided between 2 domestic and 13 international routes, operated by 8 airlines, for a total of 12 different countries connected with a significant increase in frequencies compared to the previous year.
In 2024, considering that at the end of March there were already about 24 thousand passengers, double-digit growth is still expected, with the target of 350 thousand passengers, also thanks to an expected increase in flights in the winter season, in addition to those already operated in the previous season Cagliari (Ryanair) and Tirana (Wizzair).
In 2023, the airport recorded around 285 thousand passengers with a ‘Load Factor’ of 89% and a 33% growth compared to 2022 volumes. These results allowed Rimini airport to rank among the top three Italian airports with the highest load factor.
The following table shows in detail the destinations, the relative weekly frequencies and the month of departure of the individual routes for the 8 airlines operating at the airport.

ROUTES |
1. Ryanair |
1. London Stansted (UK): 4 frequencies per week from the beginning of June. 2. Cagliari (Italy): 4 frequencies per week starting at the end of March (+1 frequency compared to 2023). 3. Palermo (Italy): 4 frequencies per week starting from the end of March (+1 frequency compared to 2023). 4. Budapest (Hungary): 3 frequencies per week from the end of March. 5. Kaunas (Lithuania): 3 frequencies per week starting from the end of March (+1 frequency compared to 2023). 6. Prague (Czech Republic): 2 frequencies per week from the end of March. 8. Krakow (Poland): 2 frequencies a week from the beginning of June. The increase in frequencies on the routes operated by Ryanair, which again this year will connect Rimini to 7 European countries, will help to consolidate the connection with the various destinations and may, in time, create the conditions to allow for an extended annual flight even in the winter season. Ryanair, with whom we have a 5-year strategic agreement, for the first time since it arrived in Italy, operated a flight to Cagliari in Rimini during the winter season. |

“Even in the absence of the important contribution of traffic volumes from the markets of the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Belarus and Finland (which in 2019 accounted for about two-thirds of the portfolio), the growth ‘trend’ of Rimini airport - says Leonardo Corbucci, CEO of AIRiminum 2014 S.p.A. - will continue this year in double figures through a significant increase in the frequencies of the routes; growth that will consolidate us in 2024 even more widely as the second regional airport.
Airiminum's fruitful collaboration with the Region, with APT servizi and the Municipality of Rimini - adds, Leonardo Corbucci - will allow us to announce, shortly, the arrival of new important novelties”.
