easyJet launches first flights to and from Keflavik and London Gatwick and Geneva

easyJet, London Gatwick’s largest airline inaugurated two new routes from Keflavik to London Gatwick and Geneva yesterday (28th October 2014).

It marks the seventh route to and from the Icelandic capital, with Belfast set the join the lineup in December.

The Gatwick service will be operated three times weekly, with Geneva flights taking place twice a week - both routes will operate year round. 

From December, the airline will operate 26 times a week and carry in excess of 200,000 passengers per year to and from Keflavik. Tourism in Iceland has increased by 40% over the last two years, helped by the introduction of affordable flights.
