Malaysia Officially Launches Visit Malaysia 2026 Campaigns

The Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) campaign, launched on January 6, focuses on high-yield and sustainable tourism. Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing highlighted three main strategies: increasing tourist arrivals by converting short visits into extended stays, enriching cultural and eco-tourism experiences, and promoting niche tourism experiences to encourage higher spending.

The campaign, officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, aims to drive growth, create jobs, and uplift communities. Tiong emphasized the importance of every Malaysian, particularly tour guides, business owners, and artists, in sharing the country's stories, culture, and hospitality with the world.

The VM2026 campaign, under the theme "Surreal Experiences," invites the world to explore Malaysia's beauty and diversity. The campaign's logo, mascot, and song were unveiled at the event, reflecting Malaysia's vision to enhance its position in global tourism. The government aims to attract 35.6 million visitors and generate RM147.1 billion in revenue through this initiative.
