Introduction to Ministry of Tourism El Salvador
El Salvador is located in Central America, at the heart of the Americas, makig us the hub between the north and south.
El Salvador International Airport is one of the largest and most modern airports in Central America. In 2022, a new passenger terminal with 5 boarding gates was inaugurated. This expansion increased capacity to serve up to 5 million travelers per year, opening new opportunities for tourism and economic development.
Due to its high safety standards, the airport is certified as Category 1
by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
