About Denver
The City and County of Denver is the largest city and forms the capital of the state Colorado. It is often referred to as the Mile High City because its official elevation is exactly one mile above sea level, making it one of the highest major cities in the US.

Denver is one of only a few cities to have 7 professional sports teams. It also has the largest city park system in America, with more than 200 parks in the city and a further 14,000 acres of parks in the nearby mountains.
