About Manila

Manila is the capital of the Philippines. It is the center of commerce, as well as the seat of the executive and judicial branches of the government. It is also home to the country’s premier gateway, the Ninoy Aquino international Airport, which is linked to some 52 international destinations by over 30 airlines. It has four terminals which handle more than 30 million passengers per annum.

Upgrading of Terminal 1 at Manila's Ninoy Aquino International Airport is ongoing and will be completed in time for the hosting of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation in 2015. The construction of an elevated highway linking the Terminal 1, 2, and 3 to the Skyway and Manila Bay is also on-going and is expected to be completed by 2016.

A fifteen billion dollar investment called “Entertainment City” will be completed within the next three to five years and have a multitude of shopping, dining, theater and enjoyment facilities that will complement a total inventory of some 6,000 new hotel rooms within this tourist development area beside Manila Bay.
