A Winter Wonderland
Routes Americas 2019 will fall during Québec's winter period, meaning delegates will benefit from an array of seasonal entertainment and activities.
Québec Winter Carnival
At Québec’s annual winter carnival, you will find impressive structures such as snow slides, night parades, snow sculpture competitions, snow canoeing races and an Ice Palace.
Snowshoeing
Québec offers numerous trails specifically designed for snowshoeing. Notable trails include the Vallée Bras-du-Nord, the Sentier Des Caps De Charlevoix and the Forêt Montmorency.
Cross Country Skiing
With areas ranging between 25 and 75km, the Québec City region is extremely popular amongst cross-country skiers, for both classic and skate skiing.
Ice Hotel
Constructed entirely of snow and ice, Québec’s Hôtel de Glace opens its doors between December and March and features an ice slide, ice bar, themed suites and a chapel.
Ski and Snowboard
Each year the Québec region sees a snowfall of over 400cm, creating the operative terrain for taking on the slopes. Recommended resorts include Mont-Sainte-Anne, Le Massif de Charlevoix, Stoneham Mountain Resort and Le Relais Centre.

Dogsledding
Meet adorable huskies and experience the best of winter Québec with a Dogsledding tour. The region’s most famous dogsledding sites include Au Chalet En Bois Rond, Aventure Inukshuk, Aventures Nord-Bec Stoneham, Chenil La Poursuite, Les Secrets Noridiques and Pourvoirie du Lac Beauport.

Snow sliding has been a tradition in Québec since the 19th century, with the city’s most popular snow sliding locations being the Toboggan Slide Au 1884, the Massif de Charlevoix and the Site des sports d’hiver de la Pointe-aux-Lièvres.
