Getting Around
Free shuttle buses are available for World Routes delegates from Adelaide Airport to official hotels starting on Saturday 21 September. Return transfers start on Tuesday 24 September. A shuttle bus service will operate between official hotels and the Showground venue during the event.
Adelaide’s city centre is only a 15-minute drive from Adelaide Airport. Visitors are assured a quick, easy and inexpensive journey into the city centre when catching a taxi. The average taxi fare from the airport to the city centre is around AUD$20 (~USD$18).
While city attractions are within easy walking distance, a free City Connector bus links the city's major cultural, entertainment and retail centres as well as North Adelaide. Adelaide’s tramline is free for travel within the city and is a great way to visit the famous beachside suburb of Glenelg. Discover the city with a local and book an Adelaide Greeter who is selected based on your language and interests. Adelaide is an ideal city to explore by bike with its wide and flat streets.
