Is World Routes taking place in person?

Yes. The in-person element of World Routes 2021 will take place in Milan, Italy from 10-12 October. Additional virtual event days will ensure that all industry stakeholders can participate, wherever they are in the world.

When and where will the event take place?

The live element of World Routes will take place in Milan, Italy from 10-12 October 2021 at The MiCo Milano Convention centre. The virtual event days will take place the following week, 18-20 October, via our bespoke virtual event platform.

How do I register for World Routes?

Secure your place at World Routes 2021 today by logging in to Routesonline. Once you have logged in (or created a new account if you are not already a Routesonline member) you will be promoted to select what delegate type you wish to register as. Complete your registration as per the instructions on-screen and one of our dedicated Registration team members will be in touch to confirm your place shortly.

Meetings

How will meetings at World Routes work?

Traditional face-to-face meetings will bring together the global route development community in person for the first time in over two years, while our digital event platform will facilitate virtual meetings, uniting those unable to be present in Milan. In-person meetings will take place in the Airline Meeting Halls in Milan, and virtual meetings will be facilitated through our bespoke virtual platform. Learn more about meetings at World Routes.

How do I request meetings at World Routes?

To deliver the best possible experience for delegates, World Routes will utilise both the traditional meeting request system and a virtual event platform. Delegates attending the event in-person can request their face-to-face and hybrid meetings using the Routes Meeting System. All accepted virtual meeting requests will be transferred by our team to the digital event platform for you. Virtual attendees can request their meetings via our digital event platform.

How can I prepare for meetings at World Routes Routes?

In-person attendance

Do I need a visa to travel to Milan?

Delegates should check with their local embassy to understand whether a visa is required to travel to Milan for World Routes. Our hosts can provide Visa Invitation letters to support any delegate’s visa application. Visit our dedicated travel guidance page for more information.

How do I book accommodation for this year’s event?

Delegates can compare and sort hotels by distance, price and TripAdvisor rating on our dedicated webpage, hosted by our official hotel provider, HotelMap. View and book official hotels in Milan.

What is the cancellation policy for accommodation?

Cancellation policies are clearly displayed before booking and can vary depending on the Hotel brand and rate. Cancellation policies can range from 30 days to the day before the booking. We strongly recommend that delegates read the specific cancellation policy before confirming their booking with HotelMap.

Do I need to get a PCR test before arriving or departing Milan?

Please refer to your home country’s specific guidance on travel to Italy. If you require a negative PCR test to return to your country of origin, we will be able to provide details for the testing facility nearest to the event.

Do I have to quarantine on arriving or departing Milan?

Delegates travelling to Milan for World Routes that are staying in the country for less than five days are exempt from quarantine under current guidelines. We strongly recommend that delegates check their country of origin’s specific guidance on departing and arriving.


Virtual attendance

How do I use the virtual platform?

The virtual element of the event will be hosted on a sophisticated, user-friendly platform that will act as the central hub for all virtual information, content, and meetings during the event.

If you have already registered for the event, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to the system and your unique Personal Registration Code (PRC).  Log in today and begin scheduling meetings, bookmarking conference sessions, and planning a diary that aligns with your business objectives.
