Complimentary Tours
Our hosts have provided a number of complimentary tours to enable delegates to explore Chiang Mai. Please book to secure your place.
Complimentary tours will take place on Monday 13 February. Each tour will run in both a morning and an afternoon slot. Morning tours will take place between 09:00-13:00 and afternoon tours will take place between 12:00-16:00.
Early booking is advised to avoid disappointment. Each tour can accommodate up to 50 attendees. Maximum of one tour per person. Booking will close on Monday 6 February 2023.
Lanna Heritage Tour

Description:
Chiang Mai has a rich history dating back to 1292 when the city was founded. The city was known as the Rose of the North by the people because of its strong culture and heritage. The Lanna Heritage tour will offer a fantastic opportunity to learn about Chiang Mai in a single day. Your excursion will begin at Wat Phra Singh which houses the holiest Buddha image, PhraPhuttha Sihing, in an ancient pavilion. Then you will take a coach to the Three Kings Monument, which honors the LannaThai Kingdom’s founders. Then discover a thousand-year-old wooden pavilion at Wat Pan Tao, take a short walk through the city center, or “Klang Wiang”.
After that, stop by the Lanna Architecture museum, belonging to a former Lanna Thai officer. Then, for your give-away gift, participate in a hands-on experience of “Kon Muang” art design and enjoy a cold brew of locally brewed coffee and tea. Return transport to your hotel will be provided at the end of the tour.
Elephant World Tour

Description:
At elephant care, you will have a fun and interesting day learning about the elephants' natural habitat. Your adventure will begin with an introduction about the elephants by a veterinarian. You will then help to prepare some food for the elephants, learning about their herbal nutrition. Once the food is prepared you will be able to feed the elephants. After feeding time, you will be able to enjoy a short walk downhill to the jungle cottage for a coffee break where you may sample a variety of freshly made local tea and coffee and Thai sweets.
Your tour will then continue at the baby elephant playground. Wild foods such as banana fruits, banana trees and grass should be fed to the young elephants. You will then be able to watch the elephants bathe and help to bathe them if you wish. Return transport to your hotel will be provided at the end of the tour.
The Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden Tour

Description:
The Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden tour will provide a magnificent experience of native wild plants, botanicas, and flora, with Queen Sirikit taking a special interest in preserving the national ecosystem for future generations. Your tour will begin at the top of the tallest treetop, which is 450 meters long and 20 meters above ground level, with a breath-taking view of the mixed and rain forests. A tram runs around the Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden providing a tour of the country’s largest rain forest greenhouse and tropical plant domes.
Continue walking up the stairs to the coffee break station, where you may sample locally brewed tea and coffee coffee as well as Thai treats. Return transport to your hotel will be provided at the end of the tour.

Lanna Handicraft Tour

Description:
The unique design on fabric patterns, costumes, and handicrafts gives Chiang Mai a lovely appeal. At “Lhong Him Kao”, Chiang Mai’s largest local handicraft and art market, you can embark on a journey through the northern Thai legacy. Upon arrival at the village, a storyteller will provide a brief history of the village. Next you will take a short walk to the art community and divide into four small groups for a rotation of workshop stations, including candle making, indigo blue tie dying, a creative cotton bag sewing pattern, and learning how to make bath bombs. These will be your handmade gifts for the best Chiang Mai souvenirs.
You will then head to Cham-Cha Art Market for a coffee break featuring scrumptious East meets West foods and a cold beverage selection. Return transport to your hotel will be provided at the end of the tour.
