Complimentary Tours
All Routes Europe 2025 delegates are invited to attend a complimentary tour during their time in Seville, kindly organised by our hosts. Each itinerary offers a mix of history, culture, and local cuisine to make the most of your time in these charming Andalusian cities!
All tours will take place on 7 April 2025 prior to the Welcome Reception. There will be one or several meeting points which will be easy to find and form the starting point for each route. Those who have booked a tour will be provided with more information once this has been arranged.
Guided visit to Sevilla
Tour delivered in partnership with Sevilla Tourism Board.
Date: Monday 7 April
Time: 10:00 to 13:00 (Delegates will be split into groups with the tour lasting approximately 1.5 hours. Exact timetable will be provided.)
Experience a guided tour of the historic center of this magnificent city. Visit some of the most iconic locations including The Royal Alcazar, one of the most important monuments of Seville, UNESCO World Heritage sites, Santa Cruz Quarter and the emblematic Jewish Quarter.
Tour itinerary:
- UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Several areas across Seville have gained this title due to their historical, cultural, and architectural significance including Seville Cathedral, La Giraldam, the Archive of the Indies and the Royal Alcazar of Seville. Delegates will gain entry inside the Alcázar and marvel at other globally renowned locations from the outside.
- Santa Cruz Quarter: One of the most picturesque and historic neighbourhoods in Seville, Spain. It was the old Jewish quarter of the city during the medieval period and is now known for its charming narrow streets, whitewashed buildings, and vibrant courtyards filled with flowers.
- Visitors can explore hidden patios, enjoy traditional Andalusian tapas at local taverns, and experience flamenco performances in intimate venues.

Are you ready to enjoy this wonderful city from an open top double-decker bus perspective? The Seville adventure begins at Paseo de Colón. One of the most beautiful parts of the city, this walkway is a must see!
Tour itinerary:
- Plaza de España: A spectacle that looks incredible all year round. Hop off and appreciate the semi-elliptical shape of the plaza, which symbolises Spain embracing its former American territories
- Acuario de Sevilla: A sensational aquarium well worth a visit!
- Plaza de América: Yet another opportunity to appreciate the architecture of the city, and take in the local scenery. There are brilliant museums nearby to the plaza, great for people of all ages as you can play in the plaza or mooch around the museum.
- Plaza de Cuba
- Triana, San Jacinto and Calle Castilla: Which was the centre of the local ceramics industry.
- Exposición Universal (Expo '92)
- Isla Mágica: Built on an old fort with a lake in the middle, this unique area is full of fun.

Jerez de la Frontera
Tour delivered in partnership with Diputación Provincial de Cádiz.
Date: Monday 7 April
Time: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Tour itinerary:
- 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Visit the horses of Cartuja Hierro del Bocado. In the grounds of the old pasture of ‘Fuente del Suero’, close to the Carthusian Monastery in Jerez de la Frontera, nowadays, just as at the end of the XV century, you may see the legendary Spanish purebred Carthusian horses. A place where specimens of great graze and grow: Yeguada Cartuja Hierro del Bocado
- 11:30 AM - 14:00 PM: Visit a Sherry Winery. Head to one of the famous bodegas like Lustau for a sherry-tasting tour, where you can learn about the production process of Jerez’s most famous wine and enjoy a traditional Andalusian meal at Lustau Wine Cellars, offering local specialties such as jamón ibérico.
- 14:00 PM - Return to Seville. Delegates can expect to arrive before 3:30 PM.
Córdoba
Date: Monday 7 April
Time: 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Tour itinerary:
- 9:30 AM: Stroll through the Jewish Quarter. Wander through the narrow, picturesque streets of the Judería, visiting the Synagogue and the charming Plaza Maimónides.
- 10:00 AM: Visit the Mezquita-Catedral. Spend your morning at the iconic mosque-cathedral, exploring its stunning arches and courtyards.
- 12:00 PM: For lunch, we'll head to Convention Centre Palace, a historical converted Palace where you can savor salmorejo (cold tomato soup) and flamenquín (breaded pork roll).
- 1:00 PM: Return to Seville. Delegates can expect to arrive around 3:00 PM.
Huelva
Date: Monday 7 April
Time: 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM
Tour itinerary:
- 10:00 AM: Visit the Muelle de las Carabelas. Begin at the Caravel Pier, where replicas of Columbus’ ships are docked. Learn about the history of the Age of Exploration and Columbus’ journey.
- 11:00 AM: Visit to Huelva Monastery. Take a relaxing walk through the center of Huelva, visiting the Plaza de las Monjas and the beautiful Iglesia de la Merced.
- 12:30 pm: Visit Punta Umbria For a delightful seafood meal, we'll visit a renowned spot offering fresh fish and local specialties like coquinas (small clams) and jamón ibérico.
- 1:30 PM: Return to Seville. Delegates can expect to arrive before 2:45 PM.
Écija
Écija was founded by the Emperor Augustus under the name of Astigi and is one of the oldestcities in southern Spain. Today it is famous for its eleven towers, which, with their respectivechurches, are magnificent representations of the Spanish Baroque of the 17th and 18thcenturies and make up its splendid urban landscape.

Tour itinerary:
- 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Horse carriage ride through the City of Towers. Écija is well known for being one of the main equestrian centers for the breeding of Purebred Spanish Horses and there is a clear local vocation for the equestrian world, so the best way to start our visit is with a horse-drawncarriage ride through the city.
- 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM: Guided tour in English through Écija, including stops at the Plazade España, Casa Mirador de Peñaflor, the Municipal Museum of Historylocated in the Benamejí Palace and the Church of Discalced. Écija has a valuable monumental heritage officially declared as a Historic-Artistic Ensemble, with important Roman vestiges, together with its palaces, convents, churches and museums.
There are only four Roman sculptural representations of the Wounded Amazon in the world. They are in New York, Berlin, Copenhagen, and the fourth is in the archaeological exhibition of the Municipal Museum of History in Écija.
- 11:30 AM: Visit of the Palace of Peñaflor. This building is one of the best examples of Baroque civil architecture and is known as the palace of the long balconies, due to its striking curved façade (more than 60 m long).
Tour of the Palace and a private Flamenco show. Flamenco is a living art that evolves and is experienced intensely at flamenco venues known as Tablaos, flamenco clubs called Peñas and at many flamenco festivals held throughout the Province, such as Écija’s Flamenco Night. On this occasion we will enjoy a private show in a unique setting such as the Palace of Peñaflor.
- 12:30 PM: Lunch at 100 Vinos Restaurant. Enjoy lunch based on the rich local cuisine, paired with wines from the Province of Seville.
- 14:00 PM: Return to Seville. Delegates can expect to arrive before 3:15 PM.
