Destination Sponsor
Tallahassee International Airport is the Destination Sponsor for TakeOff North America 2025.
The Tallahassee Airport (TLH) serves as the primary airport for both business and leisure travel in Tallahassee and the 32 surrounding counties in North Florida, South Georgia and Alabama. The 2,485-acre site is located seven miles southwest of the City’s central business district and falls within the corporate city limits. The Airport carriers at TLH include: American Airlines and Delta Air Lines. TLH provides a number of daily flights to major cities, including Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas-Fort Worth, Miami and Washington, DC. The General Aviation Terminal at TLH houses both corporate and privately-owned aircraft and provides basic aviation services such as two FBO facilities, aircraft maintenance, charter services, flight training, tie down and hangar spaces. The Tallahassee Airport is owned and operated by the City of Tallahassee and serves a 100-mile market radius.
As part of TLH’s continued growth and modernization, TLH is the site of an emerging International Port of Entry. Construction of a 40,000 square foot world-class Federal Inspection Services (FIS) Facility, a nearly $35 million investment, is underway. The FIS will meet U.S. Customs & Border Protection’s (CBP) rigorous technical design standards for processing up to 200 passengers per hour.
To align with the opening on the FIS, TLH will be home to a fully operational Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) with CBP oversight that will serve up to 11 surrounding counties. The new Zone will support international commerce, stimulate the economy, and bolster the Northwest and North Central Florida Region’s global market competitiveness.
“Airports connect people and resources while driving economic growth. Serving Florida’s Capital City and the surrounding areas, Tallahassee International Airport (TLH) exemplifies this, with an economic impact of nearly $1 billion and welcoming nearly 1 million passengers annually.”
