Vinoop Goel

Asia-Pacific Regional Director of Airport, Passenger, Cargo & Security Department, IATA

Vinoop Goel is the Asia-Pacific Regional Director of Airport, Passenger, Cargo & Security Department for International Air Transport Association (IATA). He is based at their Asia Pacific regional office in Singapore.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is the trade association for the world’s airlines, representing some 260 airlines or 83% of total air traffic. IATA supports many areas of aviation activity and helps formulate industry policy on critical aviation issues.

Vinoop leads a team that is responsible for all IATA's activities in the Asia-Pacific region relating to airports – including Infrastructure, Capital expenditure and charges, Fuel supply, Passenger experience, Baggage services, Cargo, Ground handling, Security and Facilitation. In this capacity, Vinoop works with airports, governments and other aviation stakeholders in the region to improve the end-to-end passenger and cargo journey.

Vinoop has a degree in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT, Delhi in India. He has about 25 years of aviation industry experience including a 15 year stint in Japan and has been with IATA since 2005.

Michael Miller

Head of Content & Industry Relations, Routes, UBM EMEA

Michael Miller is Head of Content and Industry Relations for Routes, which is part of the Transport and Technology division of UBM; a leading global event marketing and communications services business. Mike leads the creation and development of Routes conferences at events worldwide, and is responsible for relations with aviation, travel and other industry groups.

Mike has 25 years experience in the aviation industry as both a journalist and consultant prior to joining the Routes team in 2014. He has managed nine aviation publications, mostly under the Aviation Week banner at McGraw-Hill, and has had aviation clients in Europe, North and South America, and Asia. Clients have included Delta Air Lines, American Airlines, US Airways, JetBlue Airways, Bombardier, ALTA and the government of France. He oversaw the creation of the ALTA Airline Leaders Forum. Michael also was Vice President, Strategy, at the American Aviation Institute and President of Miller Air Group. He has been interviewed several hundred times on aviation issues by CNN, BBC, CNBC, NBC, Al Jazeeera and others.

He is based in Orlando, Florida.

Sanjay Jayanth

Head of Business Development, Asia, Routes and ASM

Sanjay Jayanth is the Head of Business Development, Asia for Routes and ASM, part of the transport and technology division of UBM,. Sanjay leads the sales, business development and event management for Routes and ASM in Asia, developing and growing the portfolio across the Asia-Pacific region.

Sanjay has 17 years of world-wide experience in the aviation industry in marketing strategy, competitive analysis, operations, branding and product development with KLM, British Airways, Delta Air Lines, Northwest Airlines and most recently GMR Group. He has held key positions including Airline Marketing and Route Development for Delhi International Airport as well as positions at GMR Male International Airport in the Maldives and GMR Megawide Cebu Airport Corporation in the Philippines.

Nigel Mayes

Senior Vice President Consulting & Product Development, ASM

Nigel brings 20 years industry experience, starting his career as a key part of the route development team at Birmingham International Airport where he had a variety of roles in airport marketing, strategy and aviation business development, before joining ASM in 2001.

Following a successful consulting career Nigel went on to be responsible for all the commercial aspects of Routes including customer engagement, airport and airline attendance, revenues and conference content.  During his time with Routes, Nigel had also been responsible for the development of the Routes online product www.routesonline.com

Nigel re-joined ASM in 2014 SVP Consulting and Product Development where he is responsible for supporting our work across the client base and taking ASM’s new products and services to market.

During his time at ASM, Nigel has worked on route development, traffic forecasting and airport transaction projects across the globe.  Nigel has been responsible for the delivery of a number of new routes and has worked on airport projects that include Taoyuan International Airport, San Juan International Airport, Darwin Airport, London Stansted, Katowice Airport, Malaysia Airports, Perth Airport, Rzeszow Airport and Sikhuphe Airport.

Olivier Jager

Olivier Jager is the Co-founder and CEO of ForwardKeys, a tactical intelligence company analysing 14 million daily booking transactions to predict future travel patterns for businesses worldwide and help them monitor and anticipate traveller arrivals and trends.

Before launching ForwardKeys in 2010, Olivier had already accumulated cutting-edge experience in IT and travel with companies including AOL, Amadeus, PhoCusWright, Market Metrix and TravelCLICK. 

A strategic thinker with a zest for innovating and solving problems, Olivier’s expertise has focused on marketing and distribution, management and business development.

Alan Polivnick

Partner, Watson Farley & Williams (Thailand) Ltd

Alan is a partner in the International Litigation Group of Watson Farley & Williams and focuses on cross-border arbitration and dispute resolution, particularly in the aviation, shipping and insurance and reinsurance sectors. Alan regularly advises MNCs, international airlines, insurers and reinsurers and international organisations on their operations in Thailand including contract negotiations, commercial and coverage disputes, employment law and regulatory issues.  In addition to advising and representing airlines and their insurers in litigation, Alan’s aviation practice focuses on commercial and regulatory aspects of airline operations and he regularly advises Thai and international full service and LCC operators.

Alan is named ‘Aviation Lawyer of the Year’ by the Lawyer Monthly Magazine 2013, and a leading lawyer in transport by Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2013, 2014 and 2015.  He is also listed in Who’s Who Legal 2016 as a leading lawyer in aviation. He is qualified to practise in England and Wales and Australia.
