Gordon Dewar

Chief Executive Officer, Edinburgh Airport

Gordon Dewar took up the post of Chief Executive in July 2012, with the airport experiencing 63% growth in passengers from 9m to 14.7m passengers in 2019 – a record for any Scottish airport.

Rebranding the airport as the place where ‘Scotland meets the world’, Gordon has overseen significant capital investment in capacity, productivity improvements and customer service enhancements that have been recognised through airport and wider business awards in Scotland, the UK and internationally.

Gordon worked tirelessly to steer the airport through the Covid-19 pandemic, ensuring it stayed open throughout and diversifying the approach.

 Gordon spent 4 years with BAA running Glasgow and Edinburgh airports through periods of extensive investments in terminal capacity and passenger growth from 2007 to 2010.  He then spent 2 years as Chief Executive at Bahrain International Airport creating a independent and profitable business for the first time after a carve out from Government.

Gordon has held a number of senior positions with leading transport operators, including commercial, general management and business development roles.  Prior to this he spent 10 years in Transport Consultancy.

Gordon is a Board member of the Airport Operators Association (AOA) and the Scottish Tourism Alliance.

Michael Docherty

Head of Data Partnerships, Skyscannner

Based in Scotland,MichaelDochertyis the Head of Data Partnerships at Skyscanner.Michael’s team is responsible for scaling Skyscanner’s Travel Insight product which empowers businesses to take advantage of Skyscanner’s sizeable data set by enabling partners to analyse flight search and booking trends. Skyscanner’s suite of Travel Insight products can be used to guide businesses’ recovery strategies and make smarter, faster decisions thanks to unique views into traveller intent and behaviour. 

Prior to joining Skyscanner in 2014,Michaelwas a business analyst for Royal Bank of Scotland, responsible for delivering an enhanced complaint management system to 5k+ stakeholders. BothMichael’s current and past roles have demonstrated an aptitude to utilise digital technologies in order to create new value in existing business models, adapt quickly and ultimately drive commercial performance.Michaelhas spoken at various industry events including the Herald Scotland Business Awards and was recently recognized by PhocusWright US by being included in their Young Leaders Summit.

Florina Alexandra Avadanei

Revenue Officer, Wizz Air

Ms Avadanei joined Wizz Air as a cabin attendant in January 2009. She moved into her first office role with Wizz Air in 2013 and since then has held three senior management roles: Head of Customer Experience, Head of Digital (Ancillary) Revenue, and most recently Head of Cabin Operations. Ms Avadanei has been consistently top rated since joining the company, and under her leadership Wizz Air became the number one airline, globally, to reach highest ancillary revenue relative to total revenue during 2021. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Economic studies and Master’s Degree in Marketing and Management from the Academy of Business Studies in Bucharest, Romania. In her role as Revenue Officer Ms Avadanei is responsible for pricing and revenue management, digital (ancillary) revenue, cargo, sales, and e-commerce areas.

Ahmet Olmustur

Chief Marketing Officer, Turkish Airlines

Born in 1980 in Istanbul, Ahmet Olmuştur completed his primary and secondary education in Istanbul and then received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Marmara University School of Business. He went on to complete his graduate studies with an MBA from Long Island University Brookville (New York), after studying at the European Business School (London) and Pole Universitaire Leonard de Vinci (Paris).

He began his career working part-time at the Turkish Airlines call center in 2000. After completing his graduate studies, he continued his career as a flight analyst in the Department of Revenue Management, after which he served in a number of roles working with General Distribution Systems, Revenue Management and Pricing in the same department. He was later appointed Head of Revenue Management. Since 2014, he has been serving as Deputy General Manager Chief Marketing and Sales Officer. He is also a member of the Sunexpress Board of Directors and the Audit Committee.

Mr. Olmuştur is in charge of planning and implementing the flight network for the main Turkish Airlines brand and is responsible for planning scheduled flights as well as additional flights, for setting and optimizing ticket prices, for sales and sales channels, marketing, customer experience, Miles&Smiles and corporate communications.

Ahmet Olmuştur is fluent in English and speaks Arabic at a beginner level. He is also able to read and write Ottoman Turkish. Mr. Olmuştur is a member of the Board of Directors and Board of Trustees at Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Research Foundation for the History of Science in Islam. He is married and has three children.

Andrew Hogg

Executive General Manager Eastern Markets and Aviation, Tourism Australia

Andrew Hogg joined Tourism Australia in June 2015 as Regional General Manager Greater China and was promoted to North Asia Regional General Manager in November 2015. Andrew is based in Shanghai, working closely with colleagues over the North Asia Region from China, Japan and Korea. 

Andrew is responsible for driving Tourism Australia’s strategies to grow demand from the South East Asia, India and North Asia markets. With his strong airline background, here in Australia and overseas, Andrew will be also responsible for the restoration of international aviation capacity.

Prior to joining Tourism Australia, Andrew had a more than 26 year career with Australia’s national carrier, Qantas Airways. Andrew had a number of senior roles at Qantas across finance, sales, marketing and operations. Most recently he was General Manager China for the airline, taking up this role in in 2011.

Hon. Kenneth Bryan

Minister for Tourism & Transport, Cayman Islands Government

Kenneth Vernon Bryan was born at the George Town Hospital in Grand Cayman, in the heart of what is now the George Town Central constituency.

He was first elected to the Legislative Assembly (now Parliament) in 2017, when he ran as an independent candidate in George Town Central and has proudly represented that constituency since then. He is also a member of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association and participated in many conferences around the world, including being a proponent of taking action to address climate change. Kenneth also served as a member of the Cayman Islands Youth Parliament Committee.

Prior to his political life, Kenneth was known for his time as TV reporter with Cayman 27. He also served as the Political Assistant to the Premier of the Cayman Islands from 2013-2015. He was also the founder of the "Grasp Your Future" voting registration drive in 2013 that helped register over 1,000 young people to participate in the electoral process. In his free time, Kenneth speaks with at-risk youth in various schools, most notably with the "Boys to Men" program.

The experience of living in other countries has allowed Kenneth to gain a worldly perspective that helps with his people-first style of representation, not only for his constituents in George Town Central, but across the Cayman Islands.

Kenneth has a degree in Business Administration from the University College of the Cayman Islands. He is also certified as a Backpack Journalist by the Poynter Institute of Media in Tampa and has experience as a civil servant, having entered the workforce as a fire officer in 1997.

His strengths include being firmly connected to the community and being a persistent individual who never gives up, qualities he plans to draw on most when representing the people of George Town Central and the wider Cayman Islands.

Kenneth is a committed family man and has been married to his wife, Michele, for 12 years. They have two daughters, Renee age 12 and Sienna age 10.

Matt Hansen

Matt Hansen is a Director at Expedia Group Media Solutions, where he leads business development across a diverse territory in North America.

Matt and his team work with marketers from international air, destinations, hotels, gaming and casinos, as well as agencies to create and execute strategic media campaigns across the leading portfolio of Expedia Group brands. His team also oversees global programmatic advertising opportunities for marketing partners through Media Solutions.

Matt has more than 15 years of online travel agency and digital media experience ranging from sales management to strategic partnerships. Prior to joining Expedia in 2015, Matt served as senior sales director of Midwest and Northeast Hotels for Travelzoo. He also spent nearly six years at Perfect Escapes Network, and was also a regional vice president at Intagio Media Services in Chicago. He has extensive experience collaborating with destination marketing organizations and convention and visitor bureaus, including Enjoy Illinois and Choose Chicago, and travel brands such as Crystal Cruises, Hyatt, Hilton and Wyndham Hotels.

Matt is a graduate of The University of St. Francis, with a master’s in management, and earned a bachelor of science in environmental science from Illinois State University. He lives outside of Chicago and spends his free time traveling with his wife and children.

Juan Alberto Martin Mora

Proven executive professional in international aviation with experience in the sectors of airports, airline and partnerships/alliances in global tourism projects.

In his current role at aena, he leads the overall relationship with the key stakeholders, in both Spain and the countries with Aena International presence (Brazil, Mexico & Colombia), related to the development of air connectivity and tourism regions such as; airlines, other transportation, travel associations, tourism institutions, technology companies, other international airports... etc.


Previously, he worked as a strategic development consultant, collaborating with different organizations in the development of
start-up projects and airlines restructuring in several countries (Spain, Canada, Tajikistan, Argentina, ... etc.)


In his previous stage, within Iberia airlines / IAG group, he worked as VP - Joint Businesses, VP – Alliances & International Relations, Senior Manager – Sales Synergies, Senior Manager – Long Haul Network Development Network, … etc

Vivian Cheung Kar-fay

Executive Director, Airport Operations, Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK)

Aged 61. Holds a Master of Business Administration from Southern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Computer Science from The State University of New York. Mrs Cheung is an alumnus of Stanford University's Executive Programme. She was appointed Executive Director, Airport Operations, in December 2019. Mrs Cheung worked for the General Electric Company and a high-technology start-up in Silicon Valley for many years before joining Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) in 1992. With almost 30 years of experience in airport management, she has held a number of senior management positions at AAHK. Mrs Cheung is a Director of the Hong Kong–Zhuhai Airport Management Company Limited and Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Hong Kong Airport Management Co., Ltd. Active in community service, she is a Member of the Town Planning Board and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council's Infrastructure Development Advisory Committee.

Brian Davis serves as Senior Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer at Sun Country Airlines (NASDAQ: SNCY). In his role, he leads the teams responsible for Brand, Customer Acquisition, eCommerce, Ancillary Revenue, Loyalty, and overall Customer Experience. Previously, Brian spent 12 years with Allegiant (NASDAQ: ALGT), where he served in various leadership positions, including Vice President of Marketing & eCommerce. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Javier began his aviation career in Boston working for Midwest Express Airlines. He has spent more than 15 years of his career working in the Commercial and Strategy departments of various airlines. He is currently VivaAerobus’ Chief of Alliances and previously, he has been the CEO of Canada Jetlines, VP Network, Revenue Management & E-Commerce at VivaAerobus, Director Network Planning and Corporate Affairs at Vueling as well as Senior Strategist at Qatar Airways.
