Ourania Georgoutsakou

Managing Director, Airlines for Europe (A4E)

Ourania “Rania” Georgoutsakou is the managing director of Airlines for Europe (A4E), the Brussels-based organisation representing Europe’s leading airlines. She joined Airlines4Europe in June 2023 and is responsible for the organisation’s strategy and impact. Her role is to represent Europe’s commercial airlines in the Brussels’ political arena, liaise with industry executives and manage the association’s operations.

She has 20 years’ experience of advocating for membership associations, and previously led LightingEurope, representing Europe’s lighting manufacturers for six years. Prior to this she was director of public policy for Europe for SEMI, the global trade association representing the manufacturing supply chain for the semiconductor and related industries. She spent the first ten years of her career as senior policy coordinator with the Assembly of European Regions in Strasbourg and in Brussels, where she worked directly with elected regional politicians to help shape and implement EU policies.

During her career Rania has worked on multiple policy areas, from the EU Lisbon Treaty to the EU Services Directive and from health and social policy to environmental rules, e-innovation and internal market rules. Rania holds degrees in European law and policy-making.

Edmond Rose

Consulting Director, ASM Global Route Development

Edmond Rose has 25 years of experience in commercial aviation as a senior executive in airlines, in airport slot coordination and as a consultant.

After 11 years in the British diplomatic service, Edmond’s aviation career began with government affairs roles first at Virgin Atlantic Airways and then at British Airways.

As Director of Airline Planning at Virgin Atlantic from 2008 to 2014, Edmond led the fleet and network planning, RM, pricing, alliances, and partnerships & teams. He sponsored the transformation of Virgin’s fleet with new Airbus A330 and Boeing 787 aircraft and led strategy work leading to negotiating and implementing Virgin’s alliance with Delta.

As a consultant, he has carried out business and network planning projects for a variety of airlines from legacy network carriers to LCCs.  He has also worked on airline joint ventures, airport strategy, and slot valuation projects.

Edmond served as CEO of Airport Coordination Limited, the world’s leading slot coordinator, from 2018 to 2021.

Michael Stanton-Geddes

Director of Economics & Competition, ACI Europe (Airports Council International)

Michael Stanton-Geddes is responsible for ACI EUROPE’s activities relating to airport economics, regulated pricing, competition, green finance. He manages ACI EUROPE’s economic and traffic reporting, connectivity report, and also forecasting.

Prior to joining ACI EUROPE in 2017, Michael held a number of roles at FleishmanHillard (in Washington D.C. & in Brussels) and he has also worked for the World Bank, General Electric and the International Trade Commission. He has worked on aviation policy in the US and Europe since 2004, starting his aviation career dealing with policies related to the deployment of biometrics at airport border facilities and then working as a consultant on ATAG’s Enviro.aero programme.

Michael has a BA in International Relations from Tufts University and an MA in International Economics from Johns Hopkins University. An American national, Michael speaks French and Slovak and has some knowledge of Arabic. When not chasing after his two daughters, he might be found training for the next marathon.
